Website Development / Wings of Freedom
Museum Website
The website development included the photography, the design of the site, the website development, structure of site content for user-experience, creating website visual standards, and documentation for the management of the site, including guidelines and templates for photos, graphics, and pages that will be added to the site.
To enable the museum staff to edit, update, and manage the site in a “WYSIWYG/What You See is What You Get” ability, the site was developed using Elementor for WordPress, to provide an easier editing approach.
The website development included the design, layout, and structure of site content for a better user-experience when browsing the site. This included the navigational elements in the page and arrangement of content on the page and in the site. Documentation was developed for the usage and management of the site, including guidelines for updating the site, adding content, images, and pages., with templates developed for the pages, images, and components, to ensure that new pages would be within established website standards, and images wouldn’t affect the layout of the site.
Elements in the site, like the museum hours were created as editable widgets to accommodate unforeseen change to the hours and emergency closings due to weather. These components can be edited without having to update the site., with the edits reflected on all pages of the site.
